Blue Sky Volunteer Organization, in collaboration with WAN Aid, launches clothing distribution program for children and mothers in Omdurman locality
In a distinctive humanitarian initiative aimed at promoting social solidarity and supporting underprivileged families, the Blue Sky Volunteer Organization, in collaboration with WAN Aid, and in coordination with the Voluntary and Humanitarian Work Commission of Khartoum State and the National Planning Organization, launched a clothing distribution program for children, adolescents, and mothers. The event took place on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Friendly Spaces Center in Block 18, Omdurman locality.
Distinguished Role of WAN Aid
This program represents the result of close cooperation between the Blue Sky Volunteer Organization and its international humanitarian partner, WAN Aid, which collected and shipped the clothing from the United Kingdom to support children and mothers in Sudan.
WAN Aid works to build bridges of support between donors and the most vulnerable communities in Africa and Asia, with a particular focus on children and women in conflict and disaster-affected areas.
Objective of the Initiative
The initiative aims to alleviate the economic and social burdens on low-income families and provide psychological support to children through Friendly Spaces activities, in addition to distributing clothing to ensure a more dignified and happier life for them.

Distribution Details
During the event, clothing was distributed to 130 children of various ages, along with 80 dresses for mothers, in an atmosphere filled with joy, appreciation, and gratitude from the beneficiary families.
